Founder Steve Mandia started his olive oil journey in 1989 in the heart of Italy, where he worked for several years as an export manager for one of Italy’s then-leading olive oil exporters.

In 1991, Steve returned to the States and founded East Coast Olive Oil Corporation (ECOO), which grew into one of the leading importers and packagers of olive oil in the country. With a strong focus on quality, sourcing, and customer service, ECOO became a market leader in Private Label olive oil for the Retail, Foodservice and Industrial Markets.

Steve has been an active member of the North American Olive Oil Association for more than 25 years. From 2007 through 2015 he served on the Association's Executive Committee in various roles, including multiple terms as Chairman.

Since re-launching as Mandia Int'l Trading Corp in 2010, the team has once again become a major edible oil importer and provider of olive oils, vegetable oils, pepperoncini, and olives to ingredient and food manufacturers in the US.
